Unifying on 10th anniversary of 9/11: Zed organizes interfaith panel on “God”

How the different faith traditions define and view “God”?  Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, who is also Director Interfaith Relations of Nevada Clergy Association, organized a panel discussion on “God” on September 10 at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno (Nevada, USA).

It included Christian Pastor Josh Whelchel, Muslim leaders Abdelwahed Ali Awad and Sherif A. Elfass, Buddhist Priest Jikai’ Phil Bryan, Jewish Rabbi ElizaBeth W. Beyer, Religion Professor William Tell Gifford, Atheist thinker Jon Eric Johnson, and Zed himself, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism. They explained and discussed “God” and answered related questions.

Centering around “how the different religions define and view God”, discussion revolved around images of God, experiencing God, God and values, God in scriptures, myth, love of God, way to God, gods, creator and destroyer, human search for the eternal truth, etc., and even rejecting and criticizing God.
