Self-employment for 46 thousand members of BPL families of SC

Assistance worth Rs. 186 crore to needy persons

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): With a view to providing self-employment, assistance worth Rs. 186 crore has been made available to 46 thousand needy persons of BPL families belonging to scheduled castes in Madhya Pradesh during the last five years.

Madhya Pradesh State Scheduled Castes Finance Development Corporation has made loans worth Rs.140 crore through various banks to these needy persons for starting agricultural works, set up small and cottage industries, animal husbandry and retail business. Subsidies worth Rs. 46 crore have also been made available to the beneficiaries.
