Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there are unlimited possibilities in the sports arena. Such players should come forward in the state who brighten Madhya Pradesh’s name on international level. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the concluding function of Shrimant Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia Memorial Inter-Division Cricket Tournament here today. Rajya Sabha MP Prabhat Jha was especially present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that an international-level stadium will be built at Bhopal. Land for it is being identified. He said that players should give special attention to training and brighten state’s name through sports. He said that the late Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia was an ideal and inspirational personality in politics. Speaking on the occasion, MP Prabhat Jha said exhorted for doing everything in life with sportsman’s spirit. He exhorted players to train themselves keeping international targets in mind.
The function was also addressed by MLA Dhruv Narayan Singh. BJP Sport Cell president Ajay Sharma informed that 200 players of nine divisions of the state took part in this competition.
Chief Minister Chouhan honoured international player Sanjay Pandey apart from other players on the occasion. Trophies were given away to winners Jabalpur division and runners-up Indore division. Arun Rana of Gwalior got the prize for best batsman of the tournament, Nitish of Indore for best bowler, Rahul Rajbhan for man of the final match and Shri John David of Jabalpur for player of the tournament. The tournament was organised by BJP Sports Cell. Chairman of Text-Book Corporation Raisingh Sendhav, Director Sports Dr. Shailendra Shrivastava and Alok Sanjar were also present on the occasion.
