Kyoto University delegation visits AMU

Aligarh: A five-member delegation of Kyoto University, Japan today visited the Aligarh Muslim University and met the Pro-Vice Chancellor Brigadier (Retd.) Syed Ahmad Ali to discuss issue of AMU and Kyoto University’s mutual interaction in the field of science and agriculture.

Brigadier S. Ahmad Ali briefed the team about academic and research activities of the University and urged for collaboration with Kyoto University, Japan.

The delegation visited the Department of Botany. Dr. Yuko Ta Keuchi, Assistant Professor, Laboratory of Terrestrial Microbial Ecology delivered a lecture on Molecular techniques. Other members of the delegation were Dr. Ryota Kataoka and Dr. Ta Keshi Tariguhi.

Dr. Zaki Anwar Siddiqui of the Department of Botany at the Aligarh Muslim University visited Kyoto University in the academic session 2007-2008as Visiting Professor. He invited the Japanese University’s team to visit AMU for interaction with the faculty members and research scholars.
