Aligarh: The Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University has reconstituted the five-member Task Force created earlier to monitor the security arrangements for female in the University campus. The Task Force is chaired by Dr. Shabana Hameed of Women’s College.

Prof. Mohd. Ashraf, Department of Mathematics has been nominated as the convener of the Task Force in place of Dr. Aftab Alam. The other members are Dr. Sheeba Hamid (Commerce), Dr. Asma Ali (Mathematics) and Dr. Saghir A. Ansari (Agricultural Economics).

The task force will also review the existing arrangement for safety of women, both students and employees, in the University campus and suggest, in case of any shortcomings, the measures to strengthen the same, especially in and around the girls’ hostels.
