Aligarh: The UGC Academic Staff College, Aligarh Muslim University organized two Subject Refresher Courses in Business Studies and History. Thirty five University/College teachers from different states of India have joined the three week courses.
Welcoming the participants, Professor Abdur Raheem Kidwai, Director, ASC assured them of a comfortable and congenial residential life in the UGC Academic Staff College premises. He said that AMU was established to take the mission of education forward and during these SRCs, efforts are also made for the holistic development of the teacher participants. There will be interactions with the resource persons and visits to the homes of AMU Faculty, AMU Campus, Library and Heritage Museum will be organized.
Dr. Hasan Imam, Asst. Professor, Center for Advanced Studies, Department of History is the coordinator for the SRC in History while Prof. S.M. Imamul Haque and Dr. Mohd. Yameen, Associate Professor, Department of Commerce are the coordinators for the SRC in Business Studies.
The coordinators of the courses and ASC faculty Dr. S. Reshma Jamal and Dr. Faiza Abbasi were present in the inaugural function. The SRCs will conclude on July 23, 2013.
