WhatsApp to present free voice calls

Facebook purchased WhatsApp, the free text messaging app for $19bn last week, now planing to introduce free voice calls in coming months. WhatsApp’s co-founder Jan Koum declared it at Mobile World Congress, an annual get together of industry professionals in Barcelona.

The new program will be released for Android and iPhone customers initially and later for Windows Phone and BlackBerry users.
