Shimla: Member of Parliament Smt. Pratibha Singh has hailed the decision of Central Government for sanctioning ESIC Medical College at Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. On 5th March Union Minister for Labour & Employment Oscar Fernandes, along with Hon’ble Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, will be inaugurating this New Medical College Building at Mandi.
In order to start MBBS Course, last year the state government has expressed its willingness to attach Mandi Zonal Hospital with the proposed Medical College temporarily till the institution has its own hospital.
With the persistent efforts of Smt. Prathibha Singh Union Government has expedited the process and completed the project with all facilities. In a Statement Smt. Prathibha Singh said: I heart fully thank Union Government for setting up this medical college and I also appreciate the efforts of Oscar Fernandes, who has expedite the process of granting the funds for this new institution.
While attributing the credit to former Union Minister for Labour Late Sis Ram Ola, Smt. Prathibha Singh has acknowledged the later support towards granting the institute at Mandi. She also said that the new medical college will benefit large number of people in the state and in coming day this institute will immensely contribute towards the development and growth of Mandi Parliament constituency.
