New PS5 Update Out Now, Here’s What It Does

The latest PlayStation 5 firmware update has landed, and while it doesn’t have any massive new features or improvements, the update has some notable and useful inclusions.

First off, the update improves the data-transfer process from another PS5. Additionally, the update includes “enhanced stability” for large file transfers like video capture. Additionally, the new PS5 update improves “usability” on some screens, and makes some improvements to messages that may appear.

In other PlayStation news, December’s PlayStation Plus Essential titles came out on December 3, including It Takes Two and Aliens: Dark Descent, among others. Additionally, Sony just announced a free Gran Turismo game, and it’s launching very soon.

It’s also the 30th anniversary of PlayStation this week, and to celebrate, Sony released retro PS5 themes and kicked off a huge game sale.
