Motorway to close overnight for essential works

The M40 northbound will be closed between junctions 10 and 11 from 10.15pm on Saturday to 5am on Sunday (June 22). 

The junction 10 entry slip road on the northbound side will also be closed.

A statement issued by National Highways warned motorists about the works. 

It said: “Lane closures, carriageway closure, slip road closure and a diversion route will be in place for maintenance works.

“The diversion route can be found via National Highways and local authority networks.”

There is no information on whether this closure will also be in place tomorrow evening at this stage.
